第一部分 课程性质与设置目标
一、 课程性质与特点
《宏微观经济原理》是高等教育自学考试英语（国际贸易方向）专业本科段的必考课程。
这是一门英语技能与经济学原理知识并重的课程，其内容既不同于外贸函电，又不同于报刊英语经贸文章选读。它用英语比较系统的介绍了基础经济学的基本原理，包括：不同的经济体制；资源的概念；供给与需求；弹性供给与需求；竞争与非竞争市场类型及特点；亚当史密斯和凯恩斯的经济理论；就业与失业；通货膨胀的性质；消费者物价指数的计算；国民总产值的计算与分析；经济增长；工会；政府职能；货币类型；货币与价格；银行；联邦储蓄委员会介绍；税收的概念；货币与税收政策等等。
二、 课程设置的目的和要求
通过本课程的学习，在学习经济知识的同时，通过各种语言现象，进一步巩固并提高考生在基础英语阶段所学到的语言知识与技能，结合具体的经济学知识，有针对性的扩大考生的词汇量（包括掌握词汇和运用词汇），培养考生阅读理解有关经贸材料的能力和用英语表达有关内容的能力。
三、 与本专业其他课程的关系
本课程与其他英语课程的总体培养目标是一致的。各种基础英语课程是本课程的先修课程，自考生须先通过基础英语，较好的掌握英语语音、语法，具备一定的词汇量，才能比较顺利有效地进行本课程的学习和考试。考生在先修英语课程的学习中学到的英语技能和知识在本课程中会得到进一步的实践和运用。另一方面学习本课程也十分有助于印证、巩固、加强和提高在基础英语课程中学到的英语技能和知识。同时与其他经贸英语课程一起从不同的角度和层次使考生对英语在对外经济贸易领域的运用有一个立体的多方面的了解。考生学习这些课程后才能初步学会用英语从事有关对外贸易工作。

一、 指定教材
《英语宏微观经济原理阅读》 田耀 蒋瑜 天津大学出版社 2002年版

二、自学方法指导
1、首先阅读本课程的自学考试大纲，明确本课程所用教材的编写原则、宗旨。特点、要求、内容提要及考核重点，才能有目的、有计划的进行学习，收到较好的学习效果。
2、每课学习的核心和重点在课文，和课文后正误判断题，因为本课程要求掌握的基础经济学理论知识和语言技能主要在课文中体现，考生应认真研读学习课文，彻底理解掌握重点、难点，融会贯通，才能学好其他环节和部分。
3、结合课文认真学习每课的注解，较重要的概念均有简明扼要的解说，使教材可真正成为“自学教材”。注解中的内容均在考试范围之内。
4、认真完成课后练习。特别是判断题。做练习时可查阅课文注解，也可查阅工具书，但不要遇到困难就翻看书后的答案，而应在完成一个练习题后，再和参考答案对照，找出自己的不足和错误，体会差错的原因，这样才能较好的进步。
5、如有条件，请教他人、相互切磋、参加辅导均会取得更好的学习效果。
6、语言是语音与文字的结合，尽管本课程不是口语课，但也不要搞成“哑巴英语”，应尽可能的朗读词语和课文，做到能对课文内容作概括性的复述。耳、口、眼、收、多渠道结合起来进行学习，会收到更好的效果。
7、为印证所学的知识和技能，扩大语言经验，除认真学习必读材料外，在时间和其他条件允许的情况下，应进行一些课外阅读，如《中国日报》上的经贸文章，国际商报社出版的英文International Business 月刊，外国报刊 Economist, Financial Times, Asian Wall Street Journal, Far Eastern Economic Review 等，学习时采用泛读方式，速度要逐步加快，不要朗读，不斤斤计较细节。这样把精读、泛读结合起来，会更快进步。
8、英语宏微观经济原理阅读涉及基础英语、专业英语、经济理论三个方面，通过汉语或经济理论知识对学习本课程也有积极的帮助。

三、对社会助学的要求
1、要把握社会助学的正确导向。社会助学单位和辅导教师应根据自学考试大纲规定的学习要求和考试要点，认真研究指定教材，明确本课程的特点、学习范围和学习要求，对自学者进行切合需要的辅导，并从学习方法上给以指导。特别要注意引导他们全面系统的掌握课程内容，不搞猜题押题，防止把“助学”变成“助考”。
2、要正确处理经济理论知识和实际运用英语能力的关系。引导自学这一方面了解和掌握对经济理论方面基础知识，另一方面则通过辅导、阅读、讨论、做作业等方式，扩大词汇量，复习巩固基础英语课中所学到的知识和技能，进一步提高实际运用英语的能力。
3、要正确处理一般和重点的关系。课程内容有一般和重点之分，但两者是密切联系、不可分离的，不掌握全面就不可能深入重点，而且考试的内容是覆盖全部课程的。因此，社会助学单位和辅导老师都应指导自学者全面系统的学习教材，在学习全部内容的基础上掌握考核重点。要引导自学者把全面理解和重点深入结合起来，切忌孤立的抓重点。
4、助学课时：本课程4学分，建议助学课时不少于72学时，最好每周4课时，学员课下再投入4-6小时，半年完成。

四、关于命题的若干规定
1、本课程的考核和命题严格依据本大纲的要求进行，考试的范围和标准要求客观规范。不因考生水平或对象的变化而扩大或缩小范围，提高或降低标准，考试内容要覆盖全书，适当突出重点。
2、考试内容中经济理论知识和英语技能并重，但试题并不截然分开，大多数试题既体现对知识的考核，又体现对语言技能的考核。
3、试题的平均难度相当于教材的课文和练习。 为体现层次，拉开档次， 试题难易程度分为易、较易、较难、难，比例为2：3：3：2。
4、每份试卷中，各类到考核点所占比例约为：重点占65%，次重点占25%，一般占10%。
5、试题形式包括选择、填空、概念理解、判断题、简答题和论述题等。
6、考核采用闭卷笔试形式，考试时间150分钟，采用百分制评分，60分为及格。
