4.need v.需要

need 作情态动词时:
①没有人称和数的变化;
②后面跟动词原形;
③常用于否定句和疑问句中,变否定句时,后面加 not;变疑问句时,need 提前。
e.g.Need I make an appointment? 我需要约一下时间吗？
need 作实义动词时:
①有人称和数的变化;
②后面跟名词、to do sth;
③变否定句或疑问句时需要借助助动词do/does/did;
e.g.Do you need to study? 你需要学*吗？
need做实义动词和情态动词区别如下：
need 与 must 的联系:
①-Must l get up before 6:00 tomorrow morning? 我明天必须6点之前起床吗?
-Yes,you must.是的,必须。
-No,you needn't. 不,不必。
②-Need he leave now? 他必须现在离开吗?
-Yes,he must.是的,他必须离开。
-No,he needn't.不,他不必。
辨析:need和want

a.hope to do sth.(希望做某事)-自己
e.g.l hope to study in the USA. next year我明年想在美国学*。
b.hope that从句(希望做某事)-别人
e.g.l hope that l will study in the USA. next year.我希望你明年在美国学*。
②n.希望,期望;指望

e.g.We are full of hope for the future.我们对未来充满希望。
Where there is life,there is hope.留得青山在不怕没柴烧。（谚语）
辨析:hope和wish
①wish作为及物动词,可接名词或代词作宾语,hope则不能。wish sth.
e.g.Do you wish a pen or a book?你要的是钢笔还是书?
②wish能接双宾语表示祝愿,hope则不能。wish sb. sth.
e.g.I wish you success.我祝你成功。
③hope意为“希望”,用于表示有可能实现的愿望,其后可接动词不定式。
hope to do sth 希望(自己)做某事
e.g.I hope to find a good job.我希望找个好工作。
④wish意为“希望”,用于表示难以实现的愿望,其后可接动词不定式。
wish to do sth 希望(自己)做某事
e.g.He wished to travel around the world.他希望环游世界。
⑤希望某人做某事wish sb to do sth,没有hope sb to do sth结构。
e.g.I wish you to have a happy marriage.我祝你有个幸福的婚姻。
⑥hope+that从句;wish+that从句（从句通常用虚拟语气）
e.g.I hope I can make a lot of money.我希望我能赚很多钱。
e.g.I wish that you were my parents.我希望你们要是我的父母亲就好。

希望某人做某事只能用:wish sb to do sth.
hopeful adj.有希望的
hopeless adj.绝望的
